Warranty

All engines are warrantied as a long block only (block and Heads). The warranty covers all internal lubricated long block parts as well as the block and cylinder heads. All seals, gaskets, fluids, water pump, timing belt and all tune up components must be replaced. The cooling system must be flushed and in good working order including the cooling fans. All accessory items including but not limited to all electrical components, fuel systems, thermostat, water pump, plugs, manifolds, oil pan, valve covers, seals, gaskets, filters, mounts, emissions controls are not covered under the warranty. Any items left on are there for convenience only. The use of OE approved fluids and lubricants are required for the warranty. Engines must be installed by a licensed facility and an ASE or OEM certified mechanic. Engines must be installed according to manufacturer procedures. Warranty void if altered, disassembled or overheated. Abuse, racing or the addition of aftermarket parts that alter OEM specs will void warranty. Failure to comply with any of the above conditions will void the warranty.

All Transmissions must be installed by a licensed facility and an ASE or OE certified transmission technician. All seals and gaskets must be replaced. New filters must be installed. All oil cooler lines and coolers must be flushed or replaced if necessary. AWD units must be cleaned and flushed. (Any cross contamination will void warranty). The use of OE approved fluids is required. Some Units may need to be reprogrammed by the dealer or go through a relearn period. Check with manufacturer to ensure proper procedures. Failure to follow these procedures will void warranty.

All Transmissions must be installed by a licensed facility and ASE or OE certified transmission technician. All seals and gaskets must be replaced. Follow OE procedures for install. Must use OE approved lubricants. Warranty does not cover abuse (stripped gears, unit run dry, etc.). Must install new clutch and resurface flywheel. Failure to follow procedures will void warranty.

All internally lubricated parts as well as the case if damaged by failure of internal components. Electric motors and other external parts are not covered. Units are warrantied against excessive noise or play. Integral transmissions must be flushed, including all lines, coolers and filters replaced. All seals and gaskets must be replaced. The use of OE approved lubricants is required. Damage caused by non-matching tires, bad u-joints or drive shafts, units being run low on fluid or any other user/installer negligence is not covered under the warranty. Failure to follow these procedures will void warranty.

All internally lubricated parts as well as the axle housing if damaged by failure of internal components. All units are warrantied against excessive bearing noise and play. All gaskets and seals must be replaced. Oil leaks are not covered under the warranty. External components including but not limited to, backing plates, all brake components, cables controls, vents, fluids, etc. are not covered. Must use OE approved fluids. Posi additive must be used in all limited slip/posi traction applications. Damaged caused from abuse or lack of lubrication is not covered. Failure to follow these procedure will void warranty.

All warranties are non-transferable and cover the original purchaser only. CHARLIE JOHNS AUTO SALVAGE LLC. must be provided a reasonable opportunity for inspection of a covered component prior to removal, repair, or replacement. We reserve the right to repair or replace any part before a refund is made. Warranty does not cover improper installation. Warranty void if heat tabs are melted or removed. All minimum maintenance requirements from the OE manufacturer must be followed. Damage caused by non-covered components will void warranty. Unless otherwise specified, the warranty will not cover any other costs associated with the repair of a warrantied component. No returns on parts that have been cut to order. All special order parts will require a deposit. All deposits will be lost forfeited after 30 days. No returns after 30 days No returns without prior approval. All core charges are in addition to the purchase price and will be refunded once a usable core that matches the purchase item is returned. Cores must be returned within 30 days of original purchase or the core deposit will be forfeited.
